I think the lower is toast.... I believe it was slightly torqued when I first got it...I have to double check the frame & forks

I spoke with Jeff Fredette last night & he recommended that I take the top Clamp off, loosen the lower Clamps & spin each fork in the clamp to see if the fork goes out of round while turning. I have noticed that once I slide the Rt. Fork up into the Right Lower Clamp it does bind(I have to spread the clamp with a Screw Driver to get the fork all the way up. He asked if the paint on the welds was cracked or chipped indicating stress & they Do Not Appear to be. He then said to check the stem, but it is very possible the TT are toast, but the forks tend to bend before they do.. I should note that the lower Clamp had a BUSTED STEERING STOP when I received it, but now I know it must have had a serious incident for that to break. The fender always looked a bit off, since I put it together. Now since my TOTAL IMPACT I believe I torqued the lower TT even more(I pulled Tree out of the bolt head).

Loosen the clamp pinch bolts, the stem nut, axle pinch bolts and axle nut. Stand in front of the bike and hold the front wheel between your knees. Grab the bars and tweak the whole thing around a bit, then tweak to line it all up.

I suspect that could be all that's wrong; a little alignment of all the components while they are all floating before tightening everything down.

then tighten everything in correct order and to proper torque. You can find that info in a search as it's all been posted before.

I tried that Jerry, but I might not have done it properly. I'm bringing the bike to a Old School Bike mechanic @ around 11am to have him take a look & give me a hand.. I thought the same as you Jerry, but something just doesn't look right to me. Maybe my eyes are crooked
I'll let ya guys know.
How's the house coming along, Ski ??

Thanks for asking about the house. I posted photos of the progress in my gallary and a post in my thread titled, " I'll be off for a while"
