According to bikebandit they are different PN but I see AZ Rick has a 98 0n his 01. So Rick, I take it a 98 wheel will work with my 01 axle?

Ahhhh.

I don't know about that... I bought my forks ('98) and wheel (was it an '01) here at KDXRider.net... but it didin't come with an axle, so I went to eBay and bought the very same year axle as my wheel.

I'd be guessing. Somebody with microfiche or buykawasaki.com might have better info.

yes the wheel is the same but the axel is differant so yes using your 01 axel and spacers you will have a good fit.

The KDX wheel isn't holding up?

No. I am continually tweaking it and adjusting. I need a KX wheel. Once I find my KX wheel I'll give away the split collar spacer and axle nut/shoulder that Phil made.Look in his gallery for pics. Someone that wants to run their stock KDX wheel with the KX forks can have em free.

A buddy of mine got fed up with the KX wheels and went to an aftermarket Excel with a talon hub. You might want to go at least the wheel route. He did toast a stock rear hub though.
