Aftermarket fork caps? What are they?

Post by strider80 »

I received my 2001 KX125 forks from the seller yesterday and they have blue anodized fork cap with a female style top. Are they aftermarket? From another brand? Should I be worried/happy about it?

Wow...those are interesting looking. I don't think i'd worry about it as long as everything else was okay.

They are low profile, so one good thing I guess.

I hope there is not some weird obscure valving inside. I am taking them to a local suspension shop today for service (Motopro).

After some googling, the only thing I can find is that they might be late model YZ caps???

What is wrong with them? Isn't it obvious?

They need to be painted/anodized green or at least stripped of their existing color and highly polished!!!

The guy at my suspension shop says that they are most likely Pro Circuit "low profile" caps so you can pull the forks up higher in the triples without hitting the handle bars.
