Im on my way!

Post by motorider200 »

I'm the proud owner of forks and wheel off a 01 kx250. The only thing I lack are the trees. I bought the parts locally for 150. The seals are good and the wheel is true and has an almost new Bridgestone m77 tire. I think I got a good deal. I cant wait to get them on the bike. My bike is pretty much stripped down to the frame right now so it will be a bit before I get it back together. Anybody got any 99-01 trees they want to part with? I believe thats the year range that will work, someone correct me if im wrong. :supz:

The year part sounds right. In '02 they went to 48mm forks, the years you list are 46mm...I think.

IF you find a larger set easily available, there are some metallic wizards (IdahoCharley) that had a set of split collars made to fit 46mm forks into a 48mm clamp.

You will likely have more chance of fork/fuel tank interference with the 48's.

Have fun with 'em!
