92 kdx 250 fork springs

92 kdx 250 fork springs
we have a 92 kdx250 with the stock fork springs. they are way to soft for us as we are 240 pounds. we would like to change the springs to stiffer ones. any sujestions

Are you in the USA?
On the USA model, it will be touch to find a variety of springs. The ones to use are about 487 mm long and will require a little bit of washers to make the preload. Look around, as they are really tough to find.
Beyond that, you may be able to cut down some earlier KX springs that were about 512 mm long. Good luck.
ALSO!! The fork spring guides will need to be shaved down, as the insides of the stiffer springs will rub against the guide or not even allow mounting.
