Hi,

I bought the following parts off ebay for my 2002 kdx220:

2002 kx500 forks which uses - 44037 triple
1994 kx250 wheel
1995 kx500 triple 44037

My issue is that the lower triple is 56mm id and the fork tube is 59 mm od. Can someone confirm wht the id on the 44037 lower triple is supposed to be?

I'm no expert but the KX500 front end is only interchangeable from 96 or 97 through 2004.

I am in the process of a KX500 front end conversion on my KDX 220, can't wait to finish it up and try it out. You can use a parts fiche to look up part numbers and find the parts you need on eBay to finish it up. That was how I found a good deal on my 1996 KX250 front wheel to go with the KX500 front end. I also had some good help from members of this site.

44037 is just the reference number, not the pat number.

That lower clamp will not be big enough for the forks. Get a 1997 - 2004 KX500 clamp(s)
