No kidding, I really did. It was a very rotten '74 914. The new owner is going to do a lot of fiberglass work and bring it back. It ran very nicely, but has some serious structural/rot problems.

I now own a very nice '95 kx125. It looks like the forks will bolt right up? Is this the case?
I have an '02 KDX220
How about we build a hybrid ?

If you've got both bikes and can live with the smaller KX tank then i'd go for it.

No need to live with a small tank - desert tanks are available for the KX.

Actually, my primary question was if the KX forks would bolt right up. The steering stems apper to be the same length, measuring at the frame. The diameters appear to be different, therefore requiring different steering stem bearings or a stearing stem swap. My impression is that the steering stem swap is the usuall route to go?

The steering stems need to be swapped for it to work. The KX stem uses a larger bearing that does not fit into the KDX upper frame tube.

Here is a pic of Phil's (KDX220PHIL) that shows the KX and KDX stems side by side.
