97KDX200 w/07KX250f Fork Conversion

Post by FORECON8541 »

Finishing the conversion.
On 97KDX200
Using my Original (OEM), Trip Trees, front wheel/ Brakes and axle off 2007 KX250f.
I pressed the stock KDX Stem out and had it knurled to fit LWR KX Trip Tree.
I'll add some more pics when finished.
Waiting for stem spacers and I'll align the forks up And tighten her down.
Semper Fidelis or Best Regards

Question for you guys who make fork swaps. How do you preserve the design geometry with the new forks? I know you can make big changes in turning characteristics with small changes in fork position in the triple clamps.

Best to measure your old fork length before you remove. Then you can slide the new ones up in the tree, or internally shorten them to the same length.
