I posted some time back about swapping '04 KX-250F forks onto my '96 KDX-200 and received a bunch of good advice. Just thought I'd mention that my swap is complete and I tested the bike weekend before last and it was amazing! The new forks (rebuilt by LCS Racing here in Dallas) made short work of stutter bumps, soaked up the big jumps, and were forgiving even when lading front tire first. Very confidence inspiring.
The knurling, press work and spacer were all done by LCS. I welded on to the steering stop to make it a bit wider. Used the KX-250F front wheel and number plate. New stem bearings and I polished the KXF trees myself. The swap was virtually painless. Thanks KDXRider!

Great news! I'd love to see some photos, but they unfortunately aren't showing up for me? Don't know if that's my server here at work, or what... can anyone else see em?

What type of riding do you do mainly? Woods? MX?

Re: Fork Swap Complete and Tested!
Sorry fellas, I think I have the image links fixed now. Thanks for the congrats! I do all sorts of riding and can't afford multiple bikes, so I got the KDX to do it all! Lately I've been riding at a local place that has both a SX-style track and a MX-style woods track. The new front end really helps at that venue. But I also ride tighter, slower trails at Red River and other places. I have yet to test the front end in those conditions, but I imagine it will work well there also. I did just raise the forks in the trees a little more to get the nose down for better cornering, but haven't tried it out yet. Basically just fine tuning to find the sweet spot.
