Do You Recognize these forks?

Post by IDRIDR »

Hello collective.
Do you recognize the forks in this ad?

http://twinfalls.craigslist.org/mpo/5654678978.html

Would they be something I should be interested in for an '03 KDX220?

Thanks for the input!

I believe they used those on the KDX's in 93-94 on the E-series bikes (the generation previous to yours). I'm not 100% if they would be a direct swap for yours or not, but I am fairly positive that your current triple trees will not work with those. A quick search on here would let you know, I know I've seen others ask the same question... or someone will chime in!

If you want an easy USD fork swap, see if you can find any KX500 front ends. I put forks, trees, and a wheel from a 2001 on my old bike and everything bolted right up with no modifications.

1993 - 1994 KDX200 forks

You will also need the triple clamps, brake hose and/or caliper, fork guards, fork guard guides

NOT sure on front wheel interchange

I would suggest skipping it due to cost vs. benefit

Maybe just look in the FS forum for that guy's KLX300 front end stuff?

Not really a bad price for forks, but since you need a front end, not just forks, that makes a difference.

I'd consider them if they were local - since I have a bike with them already.
