What kx 500 clamps work for the conversion???!!

I have 94 kx 250 front end ready to go for my 2000 kdx 200f fork conversion. Question is I tried to press the stems out had no luck... So I want to swap triple clamps, been reading that the kx 500 clamps are direct bolt on, but for instance would a 95 kx 500 triple clamp work with 94 kx 250 forks?? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Hopefully you were pushing the stem down thru the triple clamp and not trying to push it from the bottom. There is a lip that keeps it from being pulled thru from the bottom up. It does take a lot of force and heating the aluminum triple with a heat gun helps.

Yup tried everything to no avail, we were trying to push it through the triple just wouldn't buge

How many tons of force did you use?
1995 KX500 clamps would work with those forks.
Anyone that presses a stem out, be sure to put something under the clamp near the stem area. Don't just leave the clamp unsupported.
