finally got to try my rm showa forks
Finally got to try the 98 rm forks. I installed these this winter and it's been to cold or when it does thaw to slick to get a good impression. After finding the right height above the triple 1&1/8 inches, I find that the bike turns really good, better then with the stock forks, even though I don't believe they go quite as far lock to lock. I took it out and rode in second and third gear, hit some downed trees maybe 6 to 10 inches in diameter and they really soak up the hit not jarring at all. I haven't done anything to these forks since buying them on e-bay except set the clickers in the middle. So far I really like the way they feel, much more confidence inspiring then the stock forks. I had the stock forks on my kdx equipped with heavier springs and gold valves, and I think these are better. I may get them revalved at some point, haven't really tried them out in the rocks at a harescramble, that will be the test. If you get a chance to get these forks I would recommend them.

I picked a set of those up in November and installed in December. Can't wait to try them out this spring!

I have always loved the 1989 46mm KX500 conventional fork on my old hybrid. They only have compression adjustment but they work so good. To bad they hang down so low.
