I was considering a KX fork conversion for my 1999 KDX 220 and have found a great deal on a complete front end from a 1990 KX250.
Does anybody have any input on using this front end for a swap? Quality of fork technology?

1990 good:
direct bolt on of the front end
silver color is pretty neutral
1990 bad:
41mm inner tubes are not the beefiest compared to today
fork springs are not available in the aftermarket, besides custom made

What constitutes a great deal? If it's much more than free, I would keep looking. If it's super cheap / free, go for it.

Also, 25mm cartridges and rebound adjustability from the fork cap.
