From what I have read, the front wheel won't work. I remember a lot of people buying KX wheels, but no one using a KDX wheel.
I think that the hanger is the same part number, but you may want to check on buykawasaki.com. I don't have a '95+ caliper, so I am not sure how the brake hose mounts on the KDX, but on the '99 KX125/KX250 forks, the hose runs down near the bottom of the fork, then up the front of the fork guard guide.
I have a set of 1999 KX250 forks, so if there is something I can check on them for you, let me know.

That is the year I'm bidding on 99 125/250 forks w/o triple tree & wheel. The wheel is up to $145 (No FING WAY) and the guy sold the TT last night. The forks are in great shape though-Jack

Good luck with it. If you get some clamps and get the stems swapped over, please report your experience, as I am curious to hear how it went.

Thanks, if I win the forks then I'll find a triple tree, I have a spare wheel set-up in the garage from a XR or CR w/axle. This might work I'll have to take a gander at it when the time comes. I just don't want to spend a fortune getting piece by piece. But, yet I don't need the caliber

You will have to use the KX axle, then hope to fit a wheel on that. I think lining up the rotor with the caliper would be the main thing. Rotor height would be another thing.
When I first read your post, I thought it said you would have to take a grinder to the Honda wheel.

The wheel setup is upto $145 w/tire. You think thats high??
You are bidding on the front wheel assembly off of my 2001 KX125, will fit 1999 - 2002 KX125's and KX250's. It is in excellant condition! it spins almost perfectly true, just a very, very slight wobble, NO Flat Spots the bearings are good and tight, the tire is a Dunlop 756 in good condition. The rotor and bearing caps are included in this auction, perfect for a sand / muddy track spare or to replace your damaged one!
I think I can do better

Are you referring to my "1987 KDX Downgrade Special", now on sale at a special price? It's for people with '95 and up KDX forks to better appreciate what they have instead of upgrading to KX forks. "Upgrading" is out of style. "Downgrading" is the new thing!
But seriously, I may hold on to them. I am learning more about the clamp/stem mess, so I may get it figured out soon.

I have been looking, and it seems it would be hard to find one in good condition presented well for under $100. $145 is a little high, but not real high. I think they are around $500 new, so $145 with a tire, tube, rim lock is not real bad comparatively.
If you are planning on selling your KDX stuff, you can recoup some of your costs as well.
Thanks for the info, Indawoods. I will be sure to check during winter.
