Have the KLX forks on my 98 KDX200??

Post by reewik »

What are the advantages over stock with the right spring rating? I bought the bike like this so I do not know why. I find the springs for the KDX forks for my weight more readily available. I am going to put in either 42 or 44kg springs as I am 6'1" and 228lbs with no gear on. I will be running a 5.4 in the rear.

Looks like I can get a decent deal on some stockers and that way everything in my manual will be correct…. Held a new KDX rider out folks. I have the same question in to Fredette's email.

The biggest advantages are less underhang to get caught in ruts etc., and less flex so you have better steering precision.

Other than that it is mainly a cosmetic upgrade for the most part because of the lack of adjustability. I have been very happy with my swap so far. There is a picture in the post titled...all dressed up...
