Just finished putting a 2001 kx125 front on the kdx. Still need to get a new kx front wheel(one I have is cracked) or send my kdx axle out to RB. Just want to ride this thing. Only did one ride on the stock front end. 50ยบ today and 3 feet of snow. Love New England

I used the rim off the kdx to replace a cracked rim from a KX125. If you're snowed in, you might want to give it a go! tape the spokes together where they cross...makes it easier to deal with. I also used liquid wrench to soak all the spoke nipples before I started.

To center and true the wheel, I just used a vice to hold the KX axle in place, then clamp something (a piece of wood etc) to the work bench to act as a centering guide close to the rim. It takes a while, and can be frustrating at first, but really isn't as hard as you might think, it's kind of an intuitive job.

yeah, been looking at ways to secure it to the inside. That will be on the to do list.

Thanks! Got an eye on a few wheels on Ebay. Since riding is still a couple months out here I'm in no rush.
