Just finished putting a 2001 kx125 front on the kdx. Still need to get a new kx front wheel(one I have is cracked) or send my kdx axle out to RB. Just want to ride this thing. Only did one ride on the stock front end. 50º today and 3 feet of snow. Love New England

I used the rim off the kdx to replace a cracked rim from a KX125. If you're snowed in, you might want to give it a go! tape the spokes together where they cross...makes it easier to deal with. I also used liquid wrench to soak all the spoke nipples before I started.
To center and true the wheel, I just used a vice to hold the KX axle in place, then clamp something (a piece of wood etc) to the work bench to act as a centering guide close to the rim. It takes a while, and can be frustrating at first, but really isn't as hard as you might think, it's kind of an intuitive job.

I fear I am far too lazy in the winter for that job, haha, kawagumby wrote:I used the rim off the kdx to replace a cracked rim from a KX125. Thanks! Got an eye on a few wheels on Ebay. Since riding is still a couple months out here I'm in no rush.B737driver wrote:Saw this one on c-list. KX front wheel for $75.
