Hi everyone,
I have a KDX-220 that I bought new in 2002, and in 2006, a friend of mine had an old blown-up KLX-300 that was just a rolling chassis, so he let me swap the front end onto my KDX in order to have the inverted forks (the same as a 1997 KX-250), and everything just bolted right on like it was from the factory, indluding the headlight mounts and the odometer spacing gear. I sent the forks off to Moto Pro Suspension in Washington for a revalve and stiffer springs, and I can't believe what an amazing difference it made for the handling of the bike.
Here's a pic of my ride:

KDX with KLX forks
Hi. That is a great looking KDX.
By the way, the 1997 KX250 forks are a good bit different than KLX forks.

Thanks for the great comments.
Here's a link to graphicmx.com for the KDX graphics kit: http://graphicmx.com/kkit.shtml
I've used their stuff on a couple of bikes and it's a good product at a reasonable price.

What did you use for fork guards? I did the same thing on my 05 kdx200.
