RB Designs stem spacer with '98 triple clamp?

Guys - I have just scored a set of '98 KX250 forks & triple clamps for my KDX conversion. Was about to send the bottom triple clamps off to Ron the have the stem swap done. He just emailed me that he wasn't sure if his stem spacer works on a '98 setup. Has anyone here used it on a '98 or earlier swap?

i have a 99 KX 125 on mine and it works out well with Rons spacer
seems to me the best course of action is just to wait and see
you are going to send the lower tripples in to him anyway right ?
might as well send the upper aswell and have Ron take a look at it
no real point in sweating it untill you have a definative no

Yeah, if your already sending stuff another part won't make a difference. You'll just have to either pay for it up front and hope it works or wait and see if the spacer fits and then send another money order.
Do you have the measurement of the stem where the upper clam would sit? If so someone could probably measure their old stem and see if they match up. Or you may even be able to cross the stem bearings from the 98 to a 2000 KX250 and see if they are the same because I know the spacer works on the 2000 and if the bearings are the same then the spacer "should" work.

I have '96 forks on mine and his spacer worked perfectly.

That's great news - if the '96 works than it will be fine on my '98. I will send him the top triple clamp just to be sure (he wanted to see it too).
