Sold The Wrong Forks

Post by RailwayRog »

I bought what I was told a 2002 KX 250 front end, well when i went to replace the seals and bushing guess what, the new bushing and seal are just a tad to big.
The kit I bought was for model years 2002 thru 2004 (Pivot Works PWKKK-K05-021).
So not only I'm I pissed I don't know how to identify these forks.
Anybody know a way i can identify the forks?
Anybody want to buy a fork kit listed above?

If you have a caliper and caan measure the tube diameter you could probably get close, but it'll take a bit of work on your part researching it. From what I could find for KX250 USD forks inner tube diameter:
2002 - 2007: 48mm
1996 - 2001: 46mm
1991 - 1995: 43mm
1990: 41mm

Hope that helps
