Taylorville KYB testing....

Post by Indawoods »

Over my 5 day ride at Taylorville IL. I had alot of opportunity to test my KYB's. They are pretty close to what I want other than they are still a little harsh on compression with them being at the limits.

.42 springs are correct for my weight and I think if I just remove a couple of the largest spring washers in each fork they will be just about right.

I still don't know if disabling the mid-valve would help but I may disable them anyway. I may just try this first before the end of the season.

The ground gets harder the colder it gets, so this may be a good test for the revalve.

Do you mean you have the compression clicker adjuster turned to full open (soft)?

Thanks.

From holding one up to the light, I doubt most anyone could tell the difference between full out and one click short.

What is your weight in full gear?
