so correct me if im wrong
the KDX forks are 41 MM
the KX forks are 43 mm
if i were to take off the tripple clamps , tighten up the bolts (without the forks in it off course) and machine them out to be 43 mm would the KX forks bolt onto my KDX tripple?
it seems so much easier then swapping stems, knurling them and fiddling around with spacers
so, whats the catch, i mean, its too simple right? i got to me missing something or this would be the way we all do it?
stupid question but i got to ask...

You must remember the clamping area of each fork is VERY different! Some USD forks are 45 - 50 mm in the clamping area.
Thank you for participating on kdxrider.net.

To go from conventional forks that clamp onto the inner fork tube to usd forks that clamp onto the outer fork tube even if the inner diameter was the same of the two forks just the difference between the inner and outer tube would be far too much of a difference to consider any type of boring of the triple clamps.

thats what i missed, the stock KDX clamp clamp on the inner tube while the USD forks clamp to the outter tube
i knew it had to be something simple
