knackered top of stem

Post by paulh_55 »

Hello

1989 to 1999 fork conversion

During my fork conversion the engineer i asked to press of my bottom yoke squashed the thread on the top of my stem so the top nut does screw on properly.

I have found a cheap replacement but it is from a kdx 125 yoke

Does any body know if a 1992 125 kdx used the same stem as the 200 kdx e1 1989.

As i have searched the internet looking for parts fiches for the 125kdx but no one stocks spares for them or even recognises that its a model

thanks in advance.

I have no idea. You could always snatch one off ebay.

Clean it up and and press it out properly and I'm sure you'd be good to go!

If you can post a picture it would give us a better idea. Minor damage can be fixed with a jewelry file. Moderate damage can be fixed by a competent machine shop.
