99 kx to 89 kdx fork conversion

Hello Just bought a pair of 1999 kx 250 forks for my conversion.
I have an 1989 Kdx 200 e1. I just wondered if any body else in here has done the swap for these exact years.
And is there anything out of the ordinary to watch out for
any help appreciated.
