Kx 500 replacement front brake line

Post by bmann »

Hey guys did the swap two seasons ago and love the fork (2002). What I don't love is the crappy feel at the brake lever: spongy and weak feeling. Brake has been bled numerous times and rebuilt. Slight increase in performance, but I think the real culprit is the crappy hose routing. There are a couple of solutions on the market: http://www.motosport.com/dirtbike/produ ... L=bhsoxezo , or http://www.ebay.com/itm/310359638329?ss ... 1423.l2649 . Has anyone tried either of these? I would obviously like to save money but if the kit is junk will pony up for what works best. Thanks for your input!

Because of some weird legal issue back then kawi had to have a big loop at the bottom instead of a direct "CR" style. Supposedly the loop gives the brake the crappy feel. All I know is the old brake had a much better feel to it.
