Shopping for my conversion parts.

Might have to buy forks and trips separately.

99-03 date range

I see some trips in that date range have the rubber dampers where you mount the bars.....and some don't.

Since all these sellers market the forks / trips as 99-03 date range....I'm assuming any triple in that date range will work too.....despite the fact is has rubber dampers or not. Make sense?

Will an 02 triple fit a 99 fork.....for example.

they have different outer diameter forks, so beware.
01 are 46 while 02 for sure and 03 (I think) are 48.

If you want to add some shine and some new parts you could start here. http://www.scottsperformance.com/groupi ... &Groups=25

Keep an eye out for a roller. Take the forks and what ever else you need and sell the rest. You might end up money ahead!

Right, sorry. I had the years mixed up. I think 96 - 01 are 46mm.

Yes, that is correct. 02 to 07 are 48mm.

Some sellers don't even know what model year they are selling. You have to double check everything. Starting with a roller makes a lot of sense if you can find one.
