i about 90% sure i will be able to pick up a whole complete 97 rm125 for cheap.this kid that rode with us about a month ago has it an when he rode with us i looked at his bike an told him that he better replace his chain an sprockets soon.well he decided to think i was full of crap.snapped the teeth off the countershaft sprocket long story short he broke his case.
so my question is how would this work for a front end conversion.i like the conventional forks (kind of old school look).i like my kdx to look stock but have better suspension.
tell me what you think.

The 06-08 RM forks are excellent for off road once revalved. I have a set on my CRF250X and am in the process of building a KDX hybrid which will also use these forks. Parts are getting scarce for these and look carefully at the outer tubes for nicks or deep dings, these will have a negative effect on the stroke and would need to be honed to return the inside of the tubes to being round. If you should decide to go with these and have a revalve I would recommend that you contact Drew Smith of WER.
