Perhaps make a spacer for use withour a speedo gear drive as an option as well? If it makes matters easier....

Well, someone send him an H model speedo drive and I'll send the E version and Ron can get it all sorted out.

I don't know about anyone else but I like to have the part(s) in my hand so that I can measure them myself.

Ron, let me know if you would like me to send it your way!

I just sent him a pile of measurements, including the H series odo drive. Give it time to get the bugs out and the numbers to line up and it will happen.

I'm not worried about it happening as I have already done the conversion and I'm happy with the KX wheel. Plus, I don't care to have the odometer. I have the part just laying around and figured I could help out Ron and my fellow KDX riders!

Has any one tried to put an older trip and total odometer on an H series? Will the H series cable screw on to it?

This thread make using stock kdx wheel and axle mod sound like only certain machinst is able to do it. I have done it a while back and posted some pic and measurments. it is feasible and doneable. just if RB is willing or not. e and H odo is interchangeble.

I got the forks swaped around today. The brake line guids from the KDX even fit the KX forks! Right now I have the KX wheel on just to get it set up. Does any one have any thoughts on a guide for the Odo drive cable? I do not have the stock guide so I am starting from scratch. My thought is to get some sort of clamp to go around the fork tube with an ear to run the cable thru. But they might make something that would fit right on, Just haven't seen it yet.
I am sending my axle out to RB to get the bushing fitted and should have the spacers and other parts back to use the KDX wheel in a week or so.

just a thought, with the $65+shipping to RB. will it cost cheaper or the same to just buy a set of complete wheel on ebay and you get to have a set of wheel as spare and complete OEM front end.

It cost me $5 to ship the axle to him, total cost would be $70 once returned back to me. I just looked on ebay and the wheels that I would need started at about $100 plus shipping. So I would say that there is a savings to use the wheel that you already own and spend some money on the axle mod. Also tracking down the correct wheel and spacers and axle to fit the forks that you are trying to use could be a challenge.

You get to keep your odometer drive with the axle mod too.

I already had a front wheel with the forks I used but the rim was cracked. To replace a rim and usually spokes is $150 or more and then you have to true it your self or pay even more to have it trued.

Does anybody know which model forks will work on a late model kdx 200 i am looking to swap my existing kdx forks with something else because f the overhang from the kdx forks that come below the axle often get stuck in ruts etc
