Anything to worry about when removing fork caps? I need to pull off my fork caps to machine them to accept the low-profile speed bleeders from Motion Pro. Unscrew the cap then once the cap is off use a wrench to hold the lower nut (17mm?) and remove the cap from the rod?
Do I need to worry about the oil level or anything? I am really not familiar with the inner workings.

There should not be any problems removing the fork cap. Your not going to have anything holding the outer tube up however once the fork cap is off. Might be a good time to break everything down for a oil change and seals if they are needed.
