Shock seal replacement question

Post by Colorado Mike »

Has anyone replaced the main shock seal on a later KDX for the first time? I'd like to hear exactly how you got the nut off the shaft. I read in a few places it's peened, but mine really doesn't look like it was. It's definitly not coming off easy though, it's either peened by a very tidy process or loctited on with strong stuff.

How did you get it off? grinder?, heat?
