??

The forks are both 43 mm diameter. Your problem will be the brake caliper mounting and MAYBE the axle / wheel. Someone else may chime in.

nah, 1995+ is 43 mm.

1995+ forks, wheel and brakes is a nice little upgrade for 1986 - 1992. Not "A kit" level, but still a nice little upgrade to cartridge forks and possibility to buy the UFO plastic fork guard / disc cover.

Search within the forum, as surely someone has tried to fit the older front wheel to the newer forks. I can't remember for sure the outcome.

To me it just isn't worth the hassle to switch from the E to H-series forks. They really were just a slight upgrade. Of course, to each their own!

If you have to buy it off eBay with shipping, then skip it, especially if the wheel won't work. If you found it locally for cheap, then it might be worth it.

Shim mod is 1995+ forks.

If you want to convert, read up on the KLX250 / KLX300 forks. (AND front wheel and front brakes)

Always think of it as a front end swap, not just forks.

No problem. Just total up all costs before buying ANY parts.
