i need help on springs

my buddy has a 93 kx250........what i need to know is if they make spings for a 300+lbs guy? he need springs for his weight, and i have no idea where to start!

Race tech has a spring calculator that should work. This link will get you started.

1st Bike: '72 Arctic Cat Whisker (rode it to the wheels fell off)
2nd Bike: '76 KT250 Trials (gone, but not forgotten)
3rd Bike: '01 KDX200
4th Bike: '96 DS80 (okay, my 9yr old's and it's gone)
5th Bike: '04 RM65 (okay, he's now 10 and it's gone)
6th Bike: '08 KTM 105xc (okay, he's now 13)
7th Bike: '06 KTM 200xc-w (okay, he's now 16)

thanks, that help alot. after looking at the calculator........"i" need to go up on my spring rate on all "my" bikes!!! :shock: .........im 200 lbs, and didnt think i was lacking that much on spring rate?

im going to leave mine alone.........but i HAVE to change the spring rate on my buddy's bike. that poor bike looks pityfull with him on it :cry: ......i kinda feel sorry for the bike.

RT recommends .54 for me but the biggest they carry for the KDX is .46's

They were soo much better

yea, i seen that. i was going with the .46 . he dont jump it, just kinda tags along. he hasnt rode in 10 years. he is getting alot better as far as climbing hills. i finally got the motor set up to pull him"up steep, long hills" , so now i need to set the suspension up the HOLD him! :rolleyes:
